Animal ID: 1439Bella (female)

Fox Terrier Mix    Age: Adult

Compatibility: Good with Most Dogs, Good with Most Cats
Personality: Average Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Spayed, Vaccinations Current

Bella, a 5-year-old, 18-lb. Rat Terrier/Fox Terrier mix, is a settled, affectionate girl, who can often be found curled on a bed or couch napping, not far from her foster family. She is completely house trained and will go to the door to tell you she needs to go out. Bella is friendly with other dogs-large and small- and lives with two Rat Terriers and four German Shepherds in her foster home. She has shown no interest in the two cats who live there. Bella's foster family includes teenagers, and she enjoys snuggling on the couch with them. She has met preschool children and is afraid of them, so Bella's foster mom does not feel she would be ... (Read More)comfortable in a home with preschool children. Bella does not like thunderstorms or loud noises but seems to do fine if put in her crate in a quiet room. She walks well on a leash and is always ready for a ride in the car. She doesn't like to be outside without her people and can be quite determined in her efforts to escape from a fence, just to be with the ones she loves! You can see more pictures of this lovely and loving lady in her on-line photo album at http://imageevent.com/newrattitude/bella . ========================================================================================If you are interested in adopting this dog, please go to New Rattitude's website at http://www.NewRattitude.org/adopt.htm, where there is detailed information and a link to our adoption application.     This is 30 pound 2.5 year old Eve. She is full grown, potty trained and here is what her foster mom has to say about her. Meet Eve! She came to the rescue after being tied to a fence with minimal shelter and sporadic food and water. Eve had a little of pups (Edie, Ella and Eric). Eve is a sweet girl, housetrained, uses the doggy door, medium activity level. She wants nothing more then to be loved on and part of the family (inside with them). She does play well with most but will correct some of the rescue dogs if they pester her. I tagged her as terrier only because I really have no clue what she is. Eve is precious and tries very hard to ... (Read More)please. She is up-to-date on her shots. She is eager to learn and will make a fantastic pet. Please consider giving this loving girl a forever home where she will be part of the family and never chained to the back fence and forgotten again. PIease Read Before Adopting a Fox Terrier in Virginia
Fox Terrier Dogs can make good pets in Virginia if they match your IifestyIe. Fox Terriers have been around for centuries and have been bred to produce a number of different types of dogs. Today, Fox Terrier generally refers to either a Smooth or Wire-haired variety, which are virtually identical with the exception of their coats. Fox Terriers are playful, affectionate, scrappy little dogs. Fox Terriers get along well with children and can typically be socialized to interact well with other dogs, although they have been known to pick fights with much larger canines. Fox Terriers may hunt non-canine pets, especially birds. This breed needs plenty of exercise and should be kept on a leash or in a fenced yard because of its tendency to chase and explore. Fox Terriers can live in an apartment if they get enough exercise.
