Rescue Me ID: 15-04-13-00401STANLEY - $170 (male)

Fox Terrier Mix    Age: Puppy

Compatibility: Good with Most Dogs
Personality: Average Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current

STANLEY was saved fro San Antonio Animal Care Services on 30 March 2015. He was all alone and scared in his kennel and we just couldn't leave him alone. STANLEY is labelled as a Wire Terrier / Norfolk Terrier Mix, but we are not sure what he is other than he is a lovely wire haired terrier. STANLEY since being at the rescue has not been bothered with being amongst a lot of dogs and quite happily walks underneath and inbetween the German Shepherds. He is very confident and equally loving and affectionate. If he is not playing, or up on the bed curled up with me, he is either amongst the terriers or snuggled up to the German Shepherds ... (Read More)content in his environment. STANLEY although could easily be your lap-pet he is not the needy type of dog that is always trying to climb up your leg to pick him up. He is happy doing his own thing but would gladly stop everything to give and get some love and affection. STANLEY like all dogs will benefit from some basic and advanced training with his family, this not only helps to strengthen bonds, but allows both human and dog to learn each others personality and body language which is a vital thing in dog ownership. STANLEY is neutered, rabies, core vaccines, de-wormed, heart-worm tested negative and micro-chipped. He has an estimated date of birth of 27 March 2015 and at the time of rescue weighed around 10 pounds. STANLEY is available for adoption through Give a Dog a Home, German Shepherd Dog Rescue for an adoption fee of $170 If you are interested in giving this wonderful, loving boy the perfect forever home that he deserves our application can be found on our website under the application tab. www.giveadogahome-sanantonio.org (Less)

Hello, I'm Gilda! I am a super happy puppy who is ready to love on everyone I meet. I am working on housetraining and learning to walk on the leash. I love to snuggle and I love, love, love to eat! I also love playing tug of war! My favorite toy so far is a stuffed bird--I've really shown it who's boss! My foster will update my bio as she gets to learn more about me. Stay tuned! We estimate that Gilda was born around November 1, 2014 and weighs about 20 pounds. At the rescue he was still fearful but after being amongst the other terriers that we have in rescue he soon started to relax. He is also now realizing that I am not evil and will come ... (Read More)up to me for some love and fuss waggling his tail. HENRY wants to be super affectionate and as with his confidence is getting better each day and I'm sure that by the time his perfect family find him he will be a happy confident pup, albeit will most likely always be wary of people at the initial meet up, but with love and affection he will soon warm up. Fox Terrier Mix    Age: Puppy

Compatibility: Good with Most Dogs, Good with Kids and Adults
Personality: Average Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Spayed, Vaccinations Current

KENSIE was saved from San Antonio Animal Care Services on 24th March 2015. She was in the kennel with her two 3mth pups whom we had a hold on, however, I didn't know they had a mother and so we pulled her into rescue also. KENSIE is a very gentle affectionate girl, she looks up with those beautiful eyes waiting for some love or direction. She is great with the other dogs, although doesn't venture out amongst the big dogs too much, although she does come out and walk around with them. KENSIE is still affectionate with her pups, although she does not nurture them anymore and I am sure she is glad of the other canine company she gets here. ... (Read More)KENSIE will be suited to a family that is familiar with the needs of small dogs. She will absolutely benefit from basic and advanced training and I believe she would pick up on it very quickly as she is very smart. Training with the family not only helps to strengthen bonds, but allows the dog and human to learn and understand each others personalities and body language much better. KENSIE is spayed, rabies, core vaccines, de-wormed, tested heart-worm negative and micro-chipped. Health: Spayed

DELILAH was saved from San Antonio Animal Care Services on 22nd March 2015. Since she was under 4 months she was high risk of being killed. DELILAH is an absolute love bug, for a young pup she is active, bouncy, affectionate, fun, loving and confident. She was happy being amongst the other dogs and confidently walks and plays amongst and with them. She isn't needy in that she tries to climb up your legs, but she of course does take every opportunity to get up on my knee for some loving and fussing. DELILAH will be suited to a family that is familiar with the needs of small dogs. She will absolutely benefit from basic and advanced training ... Rescue Me ID: 15-03-20-00430MAISIE (female)

Fox Terrier Mix    Age: Puppy

Compatibility: Good with Most Dogs, Good with Kids and Adults
Personality: Average Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Spayed, Vaccinations Current

MAISIE was saved from San Antonio Animal Care Services on 13th March 2015. She had previously been on hold for another rescue, but when the shelter informed them she was fearful, they backed out of the hold - lucky for MAISIE, GaDaH had a back up hold and so she was safe. MAISIE was indeed fearful when we picked her up and brought her back to to the rescue, but this is very common for dogs in kill shelters that to them are full of smells of fear, death and disease. Generally after a day or so, sometimes even within hours, they realize they are now safe and their true personalities shine through. This is exactly what happened with MAISIE - ... (Read More)for the first day she stayed quiet, she was taking in the environment and working out what was what, the next day, however, she was dashing around, wagging her tail, she would dart from under the bed to come and greet me, then dart back under the bed only to come out the other side with that little tail wagging none stop. MAISIE is great with the other dogs, the puppies, the other terriers and the German Shepherds. She walks amongst them and plays and runs around. She is always at the front of the pack when I have the treats and although I do not do any training here (as I don't have time) she sits and takes the treat politely. MAISIE would be great with a family that is looking for a small-medium sized dog. A family that has time to spend training and educating her, setting the boundaries and guidelines so that she knows what is to be expected. MAISIE will be great with any dog-friendly dogs no matter what the size. We do not have cats in the rescue so we cannot comment on how she will behave around them. MAISIE is a happy girl that deserves a family that has time to give her all the love she deserves, who will take her places and let her adventure the world around her. MAISIE is spayed, rabies, core vaccines, de-wormed, tested heart-worm negative and is micro-chipped. She has an estimated date of birth of 13 September 2014. At the time of rescue she weighed around 20 pounds MAISIE is available for adoption through Give a Dog a Home, German Shepherd Dog Rescue for an adoption fee of $300.     Hi there, my name is Crystal, and I come in all your favorite patterns: Brindled, Patches, and Freckles! How cute is that? I'm a very sweet little girl and am little bit shy.     Hi, my name is China. I'm precious and delicate just like those fancy little teacups. I had a home once, but my owners took me and my sister (Crystal) to the pound and just left us there because they said they did not have time for us. That's such a scary place! So now I'm hoping to find a real home where I will be treated like family. I'm kinda shy at the moment around people, but when my sister is near me, I relax right away. I'd probably do well around other small dogs, once the proper introductions have been made. PIease Read Before Adopting a Fox Terrier in Texas
Fox Terrier Dogs can make good pets in Texas if they match your IifestyIe. Fox Terriers have been around for centuries and have been bred to produce a number of different types of dogs. Today, Fox Terrier generally refers to either a Smooth or Wire-haired variety, which are virtually identical with the exception of their coats. Fox Terriers are playful, affectionate, scrappy little dogs. Fox Terriers get along well with children and can typically be socialized to interact well with other dogs, although they have been known to pick fights with much larger canines. Fox Terriers may hunt non-canine pets, especially birds. This breed needs plenty of exercise and should be kept on a leash or in a fenced yard because of its tendency to chase and explore. Fox Terriers can live in an apartment if they get enough exercise.
