Rescue Me ID: 16-09-04-00585DORA (female)
This petite gal is 'DORA' or we like to call her Adorable Dora because she is just that! Quiet, very loving, likes to sit in your lap or to play! She is healthy, house-trained and would love a new permanent home soon! She was in a loving home for several years, but had to be surrendered because of her elderly guardian's health. Dora may just be your new best friend!

Rescue Me ID: 16-08-18-00177Peppy (male)
This is a small 26lb. dark brown and white dog the size of a schnauzer that is a rescue dog. Vet said He appears 10 years old and could be part fox terrier. He is sweet, loving, gentle, very obedient and he 'Loves' car rides and good on a leash. I find he is use to a crate but must have the door open and not closed so I leave the door open and he goes to bed in it. He is food aggressive and a alpha male personality. He does get along with other dogs but is possessive of the person so would need a very timid dog to be with. He has been abused so has trust issues. He is use to being in house and is house broken. He whines when he wants to go outside and whines to talk to you. Loves to sleep with you and cuddle under the blanket. Has been abused so just now learning trust with me as his foster parent. Peppy needs someone who wants a dog to always be with them for he does have abandonment issues if left all alone. He is okay with my dogs when I leave but not by himself ever. He will make a wonderful companion for a woman by herself who will take him with her wherever she goes but never leave him alone. Call Oklahoma Alliance for animals and ask Jamee Suarez at 918 625 8188 or his foster parent Tamara at 918 835 4577 for cost. (Less)

Rescue Me ID: 16-01-11-00648Beau (male)
Beau is an 11 year old , 12 pound Toy Fox Terrier and is AKC registered. He is neutered, has a micro chip, is current on all shots and is heart worm negative. He is house trained, and crate trained. Beau is a great little guy. Very friendly guy that loves to give kisses to everyone he meets. He loves to go for car rides and go everywhere with you. Beau maybe old but he loves to play with his toys and squeaks them at you to pay attention to him. He loves to sleep with you and sleep at your feet (in his dog bed) or on the couch. He gets along very well with any dog he has met. Beau has not been around cats but his personality shows he may be good around them. Beau has not been around children often but he would do well with them visiting him. Beau will let you know when he to go out. Either he will bark at you or go to the door. And there are some times where he will get his toy and squeak his toy at you. Beau does have CHF (congestive heart failure) and does take medications for them but is easily controlled at this time, and he does take his medication very easily. Beau needs to have access to water at all times due to the medications. He currently has to be a special type of dog good that he will have to remain on. Beau would do well with someone who is home more because of his need to go outside more often then most dogs. $300 adoption fee. There are more pictures of all of our adoptable dogs on our website. http://GroovyPawsRescue.com Our Mission is to save unwanted, homeless and abandoned small breed dogs and place them with safe, caring adoptive families. Additionally, to provide public education on the importance of spaying and neutering all pets to help control overpopulation. (Less)

Fox Terrier Dogs can make good pets in Oklahoma if they match your IifestyIe. Fox Terriers have been around for centuries and have been bred to produce a number of different types of dogs. Today, Fox Terrier generally refers to either a Smooth or Wire-haired variety, which are virtually identical with the exception of their coats. Fox Terriers are playful, affectionate, scrappy little dogs. Fox Terriers get along well with children and can typically be socialized to interact well with other dogs, although they have been known to pick fights with much larger canines. Fox Terriers may hunt non-canine pets, especially birds. This breed needs plenty of exercise and should be kept on a leash or in a fenced yard because of its tendency to chase and explore. Fox Terriers can live in an apartment if they get enough exercise.
