|Rescue Me ID: 14-08-28-00489Ann (female)|
The shelter has Ann listed as a 'terrier mix'. That was not an option on the pull down so your guess is as good as mine. Ann is in a foster home and here is what her foster Mom had to say about her: 'Ann' was brought to the shelter as a stray in deplorable condition. She was emaciated, had fleas, worms, and toenails so long she had trouble walking. The shelter feels Ann is about 1 yr. old. Ann is in a foster home and is doing fabulous. She gets along amazing with dogs and cats alike. Her foster mom doesn't feel she was ever kept indoors and is currently working on putting weight on her and teaching her to be the best indoor dog she can be. She feels she deserves to be treated like a queen after what she's gone through and is determined to make sure she will be. Ann is doing well with housetraining, (house)manners and crate training, but will need to have someone committed to continuing her training. As far as her personality goes, you will fall in love with her as soon as you meet her. She is the sweetest, gentlest, and,'cutest' little pup you'll ever meet, (and, I might add, with some of the longest legs you'll ever see!!) She's got a personality that will make you want to scoop her up and hug her endlessly, even if she is boney. If you think you would like to meet Ann, please fill out an application. Arrangements will be made to meet her. But, please think long and hard before taking on such a severe case of neglect. Although Ann learns fast and is an incredible dog, she will need someone willing to finish her training and willing to make a life long commitment because no one wants to see this sweet pup ever neglected, or, given up on again. |Rescue Me ID: 14-08-25-00384Misty (female)|
Misty is a little nervous but adjusting well to being to being out of the pound. She is fine with all people and kids but does shy away from really fast movements. She walks fine on a leash and is fine with all dogs, even annoying little puppies in the rescue. Misty just wants a lap and a house and love! Misty had 3 seizures after being given a heartworm/flea prevention pill.. We had the vet do a complete work up on her which included a full blood panel. The vet cannot find anything medically wrong with Misty. All tests came back normal. We believe that the seizure were caused by the prevention medication and she will no longer be given that brand. age: 5 years (Less)

Fox Terrier Dogs can make good pets in Ohio if they match your IifestyIe. Fox Terriers have been around for centuries and have been bred to produce a number of different types of dogs. Today, Fox Terrier generally refers to either a Smooth or Wire-haired variety, which are virtually identical with the exception of their coats. Fox Terriers are playful, affectionate, scrappy little dogs. Fox Terriers get along well with children and can typically be socialized to interact well with other dogs, although they have been known to pick fights with much larger canines. Fox Terriers may hunt non-canine pets, especially birds. This breed needs plenty of exercise and should be kept on a leash or in a fenced yard because of its tendency to chase and explore. Fox Terriers can live in an apartment if they get enough exercise.
