|Rescue Me ID: 16-12-21-00513Charlotte (female)|
Status: Available for Adoption (adoption info) Adoption Fee: 250.00 Species: Dog General Color: White with Black Current Size: 8.5 Pounds Current Age: 6 Years (best estimate) Location: NE Ohio Charlotte is a sweet little Rat Terrier mix that would love to be your buddy. She was a stray who ended up in a shelter and not wanted by her family. Charlotte has mammary glad tumors which will be removed Dec 5th. After recovering from that she will be ready for adoption. She is a little unsure of new dogs when she first meets them but fine once she knows they aren't going to hurt her. Charlotte has not been around younger children ( toddler age ) so we are not sure how she would be with them. Charlotte does walk well on a leash but we would not trust her off lead. Remember she was a stray so either wandered off or was dumped somewhere. She is curious of her surroundings and does not listen well when called. Caution with open doors that she does not escape. Due to her size and temperment no tie outs for her. She must have securely fenced area or be walked a few times a day to go potty. An exercise pen would be fine for those without fenced yards. this is my furry little best friend Jeffy. He is a great and lovable dog that has brought me nothing but happiness in the time I've had him. He is generally not good with other dogs and is aggressive around his food. He has had incidents with my parents dog and my roommates puppy, but usually only around or over his food. He's only had one incident with humans and he bit my young daughter who got too close to his food, which is why I have to get rid of him. I'm running out of time and options on what to do with him and just want to make sure my little fur baby finds a good home with someone who will care for him and love him as much as I do.

Fox Terrier Dogs can make good pets in Ohio if they match your IifestyIe. Fox Terriers have been around for centuries and have been bred to produce a number of different types of dogs. Today, Fox Terrier generally refers to either a Smooth or Wire-haired variety, which are virtually identical with the exception of their coats. Fox Terriers are playful, affectionate, scrappy little dogs. Fox Terriers get along well with children and can typically be socialized to interact well with other dogs, although they have been known to pick fights with much larger canines. Fox Terriers may hunt non-canine pets, especially birds. This breed needs plenty of exercise and should be kept on a leash or in a fenced yard because of its tendency to chase and explore. Fox Terriers can live in an apartment if they get enough exercise.
