Soda is an 8 year old Toy Fox Terrier - just 10 pounds, picked up off the street and then sprung from County dog shelter. Sweet, loves sitting in laps, giving kisses, watching television, would prefer a quiet household, needs a little help with house training. Friendly, loves meeting people, very low energy and quiet. Crate trained, in perfect health and UTD on all vaccines.

|Rescue Me ID: 15-12-08-00782Howie (male)|
Howie was picked up as a stray in Akron around Thanksgiving and put into foster care about a week later with one of our volunteers. Upon intake Howie had severe flea dermatitis and was underweight. His hair has since grown back for the most part but his skin is still on the dry side, although that is continually improving. He has gained about. 2.5 pounds since coming to the rescue thanks to proper nutrition and care. Unfortunately Howie has only one tooth left (his canine tooth) due to severe dental decay and disease. With that being said, he is on a soft food diet but his lack of teeth doesn't slow him down in eating. He also has a fatty tumor on his chest but the vet has determined that at this time it does not pose a problem to his overall health and it causes him no problems.Howie is a very happy little fella; he loves cuddles and naps under warm blankets. He isn't interested in toys or much playing but he gets along fine with other animals. He is still very much able to walk and get around on his own, he does fine with a few stairs but won't jump on or off furniture. Howie is crated when his foster mom is not home and keeps his crate clean. He doesn't usually signal to go outside during the day but has woken up his foster mom at night to go. He will be most successful if he is just made to go outside in regular increments. Howie would love nothing more than a quiet home with lots of love. Howie's foster mom is happy to answer any further questions or discuss any concerns you may have should you want to make Howie a member of your family. (Less)

He will require a fenced in yard and no young children. It isn't his fault that he is so shy. He wasn't handled much before coming to us and so everything is new to him. He is crate trained but still needs help with house training. He is up to date on shots and wormed. He is already neutered. The adoption fee is waived to the perfect home. . Fox Terrier Dogs can make good pets in Ohio if they match your IifestyIe. Fox Terriers have been around for centuries and have been bred to produce a number of different types of dogs. Today, Fox Terrier generally refers to either a Smooth or Wire-haired variety, which are virtually identical with the exception of their coats. Fox Terriers are playful, affectionate, scrappy little dogs. Fox Terriers get along well with children and can typically be socialized to interact well with other dogs, although they have been known to pick fights with much larger canines. Fox Terriers may hunt non-canine pets, especially birds. This breed needs plenty of exercise and should be kept on a leash or in a fenced yard because of its tendency to chase and explore. Fox Terriers can live in an apartment if they get enough exercise.
