|Rescue Me ID: 16-06-03-00055Sammy (male)|
Sammy is a 2 year old, male, terrier mix. He has been neutered, is current on shots, and has tested negative for heartworms. If interested, please contact us for an application. Our rescue does not go by a first come, first serve basis. We process the applications that come in, and choose the best home for each dog. However, we also do not hold dogs. They are ready to be adopted now. After a dog is adopted, we can then rescue another dog in need. Thank you for choosing a rescue dog.

Zeus was adopted along with his sister, Zena, when he was 8 weeks old. I would like to see him remain with his sister, but as long as he goes to a good home, I am willing to separate him. He is a fantastic and very loyal dog. He is not aggressive and loves people once he gets to know them.

|Rescue Me ID: 15-12-08-00782Howie (male)|
Howie was picked up as a stray in Akron around Thanksgiving and put into foster care about a week later with one of our volunteers. Upon intake Howie had severe flea dermatitis and was underweight. His hair has since grown back for the most part but his skin is still on the dry side, although that is continually improving. He has gained about. 2.5 pounds since coming to the rescue thanks to proper nutrition and care. Unfortunately Howie has only one tooth left (his canine tooth) due to severe dental decay and disease. With that being said, he is on a soft food diet but his lack of teeth doesn't slow him down in eating. He also has a fatty tumor on his chest but the vet has determined that at this time it does not pose a problem to his overall health and it causes him no problems.Howie is a very happy little fella; he loves cuddles and naps under warm blankets. He isn't interested in toys or much playing but he gets along fine with other animals. He is still very much able to walk and get around on his own, he does fine with a few stairs but won't jump on or off furniture. Howie is crated when his foster mom is not home and keeps his crate clean. He doesn't usually signal to go outside during the day but has woken up his foster mom at night to go. He will be most successful if he is just made to go outside in regular increments. Howie would love nothing more than a quiet home with lots of love. Howie's foster mom is happy to answer any further questions or discuss any concerns you may have should you want to make Howie a member of your family. (Less)

Fox Terrier Dogs can make good pets in Ohio if they match your IifestyIe. Fox Terriers have been around for centuries and have been bred to produce a number of different types of dogs. Today, Fox Terrier generally refers to either a Smooth or Wire-haired variety, which are virtually identical with the exception of their coats. Fox Terriers are playful, affectionate, scrappy little dogs. Fox Terriers get along well with children and can typically be socialized to interact well with other dogs, although they have been known to pick fights with much larger canines. Fox Terriers may hunt non-canine pets, especially birds. This breed needs plenty of exercise and should be kept on a leash or in a fenced yard because of its tendency to chase and explore. Fox Terriers can live in an apartment if they get enough exercise.
