Rescue Me ID: 12-03-14-00131Lucy (female)

Fox Terrier    Age: Adult

Compatibility: Good with Most Dogs, Good with Adults (Not Kids)
Personality: High Energy, Somewhat Dominant
Health: Spayed, Needs Vaccinations

Lucy is a 5 1/2 year old mini fox terrier. I rescued her last June. She is a wonderful little dog but tends to dominate my mini daschund - who I have had for years. Lucy is kennel and potty trained - very well. She is spayed and seems to be a happy dog. I do believe that she was abused in her past. Truly would be a great dog for someone with no dogs or a larger dog. She is very loyal and actually very loving - despite her past.

PIease Read Before Adopting a Fox Terrier in North Dakota
Fox Terrier Dogs can make good pets in North Dakota if they match your IifestyIe. Fox Terriers have been around for centuries and have been bred to produce a number of different types of dogs. Today, Fox Terrier generally refers to either a Smooth or Wire-haired variety, which are virtually identical with the exception of their coats. Fox Terriers are playful, affectionate, scrappy little dogs. Fox Terriers get along well with children and can typically be socialized to interact well with other dogs, although they have been known to pick fights with much larger canines. Fox Terriers may hunt non-canine pets, especially birds. This breed needs plenty of exercise and should be kept on a leash or in a fenced yard because of its tendency to chase and explore. Fox Terriers can live in an apartment if they get enough exercise.
