Rescue Me ID: 12-02-29-00098Abby (female)

Fox Terrier    Age: Senior

Abby is a special girl with a lot of spunk for her age. She is 10 years old and totally blind. She walks cautiously untill she learns the layout of her surroundings and then it is game on! She runs around and acts like a dog half her age. Abby follows the sound of your voice or footsteps and will nudge you with her head if she feels you are not paying attention to her. Abby will need a special home and special owners who can be patient with her and show her around the house. Abby is not spayed because we feel she is too old to go through the ordeal so she will need to have owners who are aware and can keep her safe when she's in heat. For ... PIease Read Before Adopting a Fox Terrier in Nevada
Fox Terrier Dogs can make good pets in Nevada if they match your IifestyIe. Fox Terriers have been around for centuries and have been bred to produce a number of different types of dogs. Today, Fox Terrier generally refers to either a Smooth or Wire-haired variety, which are virtually identical with the exception of their coats. Fox Terriers are playful, affectionate, scrappy little dogs. Fox Terriers get along well with children and can typically be socialized to interact well with other dogs, although they have been known to pick fights with much larger canines. Fox Terriers may hunt non-canine pets, especially birds. This breed needs plenty of exercise and should be kept on a leash or in a fenced yard because of its tendency to chase and explore. Fox Terriers can live in an apartment if they get enough exercise.
