PacMan is available for foster or adoption. We are a foster-based rescue and always looking for fosters! PacMan is currently fostered in Casselberry, near Orlando. PacMan's foster mom says he is the perfect dog and she cannot get over how awesome his disposition is! He is probably a fox terrier/hound or pointer mix, about 2 years old and 30 lbs. He does not bother the cats in his foster home and has done great with kids as young as 4. He loves to play with other dogs, even gently with young puppies! He picks up other dogs' cues very well and will avoid them if they are unsure of him. He walks well on a leash and knows sit. PacMan has ... (Read More)moderate energy, but could be trained for activities like agility. He is very cuddly and greets you with a cute and happy howl. He is housebroken and knows how to ask to go out. PacMan is up-to-date on vaccines and preventives, neutered, microchipped and heartworm negative. (Less)

He is very sweet, about 10.5 lbs, older (10-12?), neutered, Fox Terrier / Chihuahua mix, fairly tall. His shots were updated on 11/15/2016. He has always been good with other dogs and no cat chasing issues. In my situation, he hasn't been around little kids, but I do not think that would be a problem for him. Fox Terrier    Age: Young Adult

Compatibility: Good with Most Dogs, Good with Kids and Adults
Personality: Average Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current

Tommy is another dog that came in with the large rescue transport. His paperwork indicates that he probably belonged to an elderly person in his former life. He is very human oriented and hangs out by the door when he's in a run with other dogs. He is sweet and friendly and very cute! When he came to us he only weighed 9 pounds and was hard to get to eat. We are trying to coax him to put on some weight. He should probably weigh closer to 15 pounds. He is such a nice guy - he was probably house trained. He tries to keep his room clean. This is an excellent dog who needs to get back to being a family member as soon as possible. He ... (Read More)will be neutered, have his teeth cleaned, and get all of his vaccinations before he can be adopted. We hope to have him ready by the first of the year. He is estimated to be about 3 years old, so still young enough to be a part of your family for years to come! (Less)

PIease Read Before Adopting a Fox Terrier in Florida
Fox Terrier Dogs can make good pets in Florida if they match your IifestyIe. Fox Terriers have been around for centuries and have been bred to produce a number of different types of dogs. Today, Fox Terrier generally refers to either a Smooth or Wire-haired variety, which are virtually identical with the exception of their coats. Fox Terriers are playful, affectionate, scrappy little dogs. Fox Terriers get along well with children and can typically be socialized to interact well with other dogs, although they have been known to pick fights with much larger canines. Fox Terriers may hunt non-canine pets, especially birds. This breed needs plenty of exercise and should be kept on a leash or in a fenced yard because of its tendency to chase and explore. Fox Terriers can live in an apartment if they get enough exercise.
