Rescue Me ID: 15-07-29-00277Penny (female)

Fox Terrier Mix    Age: Puppy

Compatibility: Good with Most Dogs, Good with Kids and Adults
Personality: Average Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Spayed, Vaccinations Current

Penny is an incredibly cute ball of cottony-softness that climbs into your heart (and lap) with a wag and a kiss. She's such a beautiful girl with dark, very expressive eyes that melt your heart upon first glance. Once Penny gets a sudsy bath and grooming...she'll absolutely be one of the cutest girls around. At about 12 - 24 months old and 11 lbs, Penny is every bit the playful Doxy...fun and active and loves to play outside with like-sized dogs. At at the same time. she is a generally well-behaved dog who is not pushy or unnecessarily vocal - she expresses herself with her wagging tail and excited kisses. At this point in Penny's ... (Read More)development, she loves everyone..be it human or canine. We want to nurture this positive vision of the world by matching Penny to a family who expresses their devotion for her in many different ways. We'd also like Penny and her family to attend positive reinforcement group obedience group classes to be the very best adult dog she's capable of being. Right now, Penny is a blank slate who will soak up positive feedback with every effort to be the best behaved girl around. We'd like Penny to find her forever place in either a family with gentle older children (12+ would be great) or with active retirees who will include her in their daily activities. Penny is so portable that she can easily be an almost constant companion - she would love nothing more than leisurely walks (and is learning to be quite good on a leash), trips to the store (she's a great window-shopping friend) or even a place at a pet-friendly workplace would be great for the socialization of this sweet and lovable pup. Penny is open and curious about the world and therefore can be introduced to virtually any situation...and if there is love and gentle guidance...she can succeed. Penny's new family needs to have the desire to love and take responsibility for a true-blue, long-term companion. This commitment will result in a very bonded and completely loyal best friend for life. Penny will choose to be close when you want to play, cuddle or just need a best friend to be there in challenging times. Penny is a non-shedding (or lighty shedding pup) whose coat needs bathing, brushing and general great care to rid it of its shelter dullness and return it to its original beauty. With periodic grooming and great nutrition, the golden and copper streaks will return to Penny's coat and light up her very beautiful and sensitive face. Penny will be arriving on transport in Denver on Saturday morning 8/1/15. Applications are currently being accepted and can be found at http://farfelsrescue.com/adoption/. If you're interested in this sweet, very cuddly and engaging pup, please fill out and return to farfelsapps@gmail.com, fax to 303-443-7730 or mail a hard copy to Farfel's Farm 906 Pearl Street Boulder, CO 80302. My name is Buzzy and I am an adorable Toy Fox Terrier puppy who is 13 months old and I weigh 4.9 pounds. I am super sweet and friendly and need a quiet home with a stay at home parent. A small sibling to play with would be ideal. My front leg was broken when I was little and was not treated so I have a little limp in the front but I get around just fine. Animal ID: 436Tiana (female)

Fox Terrier Mix    Age: Young Adult

Compatibility: Good w/ Most Dogs, Good w/ Most Cats, Good w/ Adults (Not Kids)
Personality: Average Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Spayed, Vaccinations Current

Tiana Fox Terrier/Chihuahua Female 2%BD%BD%BD%BD years old 15 lbs. Hi there! I'm Tiana, but you can call me T-it's my favorite letter. There are so many T words one could use to describe me; I thought I'd use a few to tell you why I'd be a great dog for you. Don't you think that would be more thought-provoking than your regular, run-of-the-mill biography? I think so, too. OK, so where should I begin%BD%BD%BD'%BD%BD%BD| Tender. Every human who has ever taken the time to get to know me says I get an A+ in cuddling. If there were a T word for 'lover,' that's the word I would use to describe myself%BD%BD%BD'%BD%BD%BD|but ... (Read More)only after thoroughly vetting the individual seeking my love-I need to know I can trust you! Talented. When I put my mind to something, I'm usually pretty good at figuring it out. Doing my business outside, for example, is something I have mastered. I also know how to sit and wait patiently for my breakfast and dinner. I'd love for my forever human to teach me some tricks that I could add to my repertoire. Teach! Tricks! I'm just full of Ts. Timid. It's true, I am afraid of quite a bit. Anything new makes me a bit uneasy at first. Time and trust are what I need to get over my fears. Tolerant%BD%BD%BD'%BD%BD%BD|but not that tolerant. I like other dogs, but again, I need to get to know them before they'll see the tender side of me. I haven't been around cats much, but I think I could probably tolerate them. Kids, however, are another story. There may be exceptions to this rule, but I'm usually not the biggest fan of the tiny versions of humans. un-Tall...but not exactly tiny. Is 'un-tall' a word? It is now. Because I'm a Chihuahua mix, I'm a pretty small gal, but I've come across others who are much tinier than I am. Last time I checked, 15 pounds was the perfect size for your lap! Trainer. I like to stay in shape. I enjoy treading around the neighborhood with you, touring the block%BD%BD%BD'%BD%BD%BD|you know, taking long walks. And when you've got me really excited, I'll run around the yard like crazy for about two minutes and then crash. It's called high-intensity interval training (HIIT). You should try it sometime. Trendy. Put me in a cute sweater or jacket; I'll rock it. As you might be able to tell, I'm thirsty for a forever home. I'm tenacious-holding out for a human I can have a tight relationship with. I'd be so thankful for a tranquil space and a trustworthy human to share it with. Give me some time, and you'll see just how tremendous Tiana can be. Email adopt@pawscoadoptions.org or fill out an adoption application for me. Maybe we could meet on Tuesday or Thursday? They're my favorite days of the week. (Less)

Hi! My name is Tuffy and I am a little Basenji boy, about 5 years old and 10 pounds. I was rescued from the pound because I was so terrified; they said I wasn't social. Once my foster mom rescued me, I became my happy go lucky self again. My favorite place is in a lap. I am leash trained and know some basic commands. I would love to go on walks or hiking with you. I would do great with another dog as I do love to cuddle and play. If you want a buddy to go everywhere with you, please ask for me on your application to www.breederadoptions.org. Hugs and Kisses, Tuffy ID #091411-3

PIease Read Before Adopting a Fox Terrier in Colorado
Fox Terrier Dogs can make good pets in Colorado if they match your IifestyIe. Fox Terriers have been around for centuries and have been bred to produce a number of different types of dogs. Today, Fox Terrier generally refers to either a Smooth or Wire-haired variety, which are virtually identical with the exception of their coats. Fox Terriers are playful, affectionate, scrappy little dogs. Fox Terriers get along well with children and can typically be socialized to interact well with other dogs, although they have been known to pick fights with much larger canines. Fox Terriers may hunt non-canine pets, especially birds. This breed needs plenty of exercise and should be kept on a leash or in a fenced yard because of its tendency to chase and explore. Fox Terriers can live in an apartment if they get enough exercise.
