Rescue Me ID: 16-12-04-00083Radar (male)

Fox Terrier Mix    Age: Puppy

Compatibility: Good with Most Dogs, Good with Kids and Adults
Personality: Average Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current

Radar is an incredibly cute ball of cottony fur that climbs into your heart (and lap) with a wag and a kiss. What isn't clear in this shelter photo is how truly beautiful this dog is...with one blue and one copper colored eye (and for all the world looking like he's wearing eyeliner)..he's absolutely one of the most adorable guys around. At 18 - 24 months old and 9 lbs, Radar is a perfect size and weight to accompany his family just about anywhere a sweet small dog is welcome... while being large and active enough to love long walks while socializing with neighbors. Radar is every bit the young guy...fun and active. But at the same time ... (Read More)he is a happy and well-behaved pup (once used to his environment) who is not unnecessarily vocal. He's more likely to express himself with his wagging tail and excited kisses of love. At this early point in Radar's development, he loves everyone..be it human or canine. We want to nurture this positive vision of the world by matching Radar to a family who expresses their devotion for him in many different ways. We'd like Radar is an incredibly cute ball of cottony fur that climbs into your heart (and lap) with a wag and a kiss. We'd like Radar to attend positive reinforcement group obedience group classes to be the very best adult dog he's capable of being. We also feel Radar is an incredibly cute ball of cottony fur that climbs into your heart (and lap) with a wag and a kiss. We'd like Radar to attend positive reinforcement group obedience group classes to be the very best adult dog he's capable of being. We also feel Radar would be most comfortable with an adult family or one with older, dog-crazy kids where voices are a bit softer and the energy is calmer. Right now, Radar is a blank slate who will soak up positive feedback with every effort to be the best behaved and most cuddly guy around. Radar is so loyal that he can easily be a constant companion - he would love nothing more than trips to the store (he's a great window-shopping friend), lap-sitting or even a place at a pet-friendly workplace. Radar is flexible enough that he can be introduced to virtually any situation...and if there is love and gentle guidance...he can succeed. Radar's new family needs to have the motivation, energy and open heart for a young rescue dog. He requires behavioral guidance and tons of love to continue his positive attitude about the world. Radar will be fully vetted and neutered when he arrives in Boulder to be in line with our commitment to zero population growth in dogs. Radar is currently in a foster home in Colorado. Applications are currently being accepted for our sweet pup. If interested in this adorable ...and very cuddly and loving best friend, please fill out an application at http://farfelsrescue.com/adoption/ and submit to farfelsapps@gmail.com or fax to 303-443-7730. Fox Terrier Mix    Age: Puppy

Compatibility: Good with Most Dogs, Good with Kids and Adults
Personality: Average Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Neutered

Beautiful and sweet 1 y.o. boy, still a puppy. He was coming to our rescuer house in Mexico, every day, to get his breakfast and was looking at her with his sad eyes as she wasn't able to take him home. Broke her heart so we stepped in. He is fully vetted and ready for adoption as of Dec. 4.

Rescue Me ID: 16-11-20-00376Cassie (female)

Fox Terrier Mix    Age: Puppy

Compatibility: Good with Most Dogs, Good with Kids and Adults
Personality: Average Energy, Submissive
Health: Spayed, Vaccinations Current

Cassie is just as gentle as she is beautiful! She is a quiet little girl who is quite shy, and while it does take a bit of time for her to come out of her shell, she is exceptionally sweet once she gets to know you. She expresses no aggression at all and gets along perfectly with other dogs. Cassie hasn't always had a smooth journey in life, and because of this, she hasn't learned to fully trust the world yet. In order to truly thrive and become the best dog she can be, Cassie needs a pet parent who is patient and loving enough to see past her timidness and who will take the time to nurture her self-esteem. Just like a person, her ... (Read More)confidence will bloom from being around a strong support system that helps to build her up with positivity, dedication, and love. There are few things in life that are as rewarding as showing an animal-in-need that our big beautiful world isn't so scary after all. Some dogs need more time than others to learn this, but the feeling that comes after seeing the breakthrough happen and knowing you made a difference is like nothing else you can experience. Finding the right forever home is the key to helping Cassie flourish. She's a beauty with a heart of gold; she just needs to find a safe haven to call her own. Anyone would be lucky to have this sweetheart in their family, and if you'd like to reach out with questions about her or our adoption process, please call us at 720-278-1880, or email us at adopt@rescuedforlife.org (Less)

PIease Read Before Adopting a Fox Terrier in Colorado
Fox Terrier Dogs can make good pets in Colorado if they match your IifestyIe. Fox Terriers have been around for centuries and have been bred to produce a number of different types of dogs. Today, Fox Terrier generally refers to either a Smooth or Wire-haired variety, which are virtually identical with the exception of their coats. Fox Terriers are playful, affectionate, scrappy little dogs. Fox Terriers get along well with children and can typically be socialized to interact well with other dogs, although they have been known to pick fights with much larger canines. Fox Terriers may hunt non-canine pets, especially birds. This breed needs plenty of exercise and should be kept on a leash or in a fenced yard because of its tendency to chase and explore. Fox Terriers can live in an apartment if they get enough exercise.
